Pete attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and later served 3 years in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Infantryman, where he “dug ditches and jumped out of perfectly good aircraft!”
Pete became involved in youth ministry in 1999. He was single, fresh out of the Army and looking to get involved at Covenant Church however he could. As providence would have it, he ended up assisting the Youth Minister, Reed Dunn at that time. When Reed left to attend seminary, the Session asked Pete to fill in temporarily until a replacement could be found. Pete likes to say ”I guess they are still looking!” There was no Road to Damascus moment for him, just the providential marriage of willingness and opportunity.
Currently, along with his responsibilities as Covenant Church’s Youth Minister, he teaches Science at Haas Hall Academy in Bentonville! In what free time he has, Pete enjoys such hobbies as coin collecting and birdwatching.
Pete and his wife, Cora are raising three beautiful children, Hezekiah, Wren & Ezra, whom Cora homeschools.
